THEMES THAT YOU LIKE

The Gamma Chi Colony of Kappa Kappa Psi

29. April 2013

Our time has finally come! May 11th will be the resurreKKtion of the Gamma Chi chapter, and we couldn’t be any more excited and relieved!

It’s been a long journey; it couldn’t have happened without our infallible bond as a tribe, or without the unwavering support of our Brothers and friends all over.

Thanks so much, Brostafarians and Brolitas!

(I think you know what comes next)

It’s been a hectic semester, but it’s quickly coming to a close.

We’ve experienced all sorts of trials and tribulations, and you’ve been with us every step of the way.

Things are only getting better from here. We’ve been saying it for a while, but there are big things on the horizon for a Tribe Called Gamma Chi. We’re almost there!

In the meantime, enjoy the dancing bear.

These are our new digs. The Southern Miss School of Music has been temporarily relocated into portables otherwise known as Twister Town.

Hey Gamma Chi!! Sorry to hear about your recent misfortune :-C. Everyone here in Delta Gamma (Missouri S&T) sends our support. If you guys need any help we’d love to send down some brothers if we can. Stay strong, brothers will always have your back. AEA!

Hello! Thanks for checking in on us. The cleanup is going steady at this point. Yesterday was spent moving applied professors and other faculty out of the buildings. It really is heartwarming to see all of the support.

Currently, our Director of Bands is asking people to keep an eye on our website for more information on ways in which they can help.

Thank you all so much for keeping us in your thoughts, Brothers! We will keep striving! :)

melodic-unrest asked: I'm so saddened to here about what happened to your school. One of our old professors just made the move to Southern Miss so we were all a little shaken, for her and for you all. I really hope things get better. I'm in ΛΓ in Miami but if there's any way my chapter can help, let me know! Keep on Striving! <3

Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts! Dr. Rand is doing fine and leading by example. :) The School of Music is currently taped up and off limits, but we should definitely stay in touch. Thanks again for the love!

In a gesture of encouragement and sympathy, the Vanderbilt Trombone Studio performed a transcription of the Southern Miss Alma Mater.

Thank you. :)

creativitynotfound asked: Hi Gamma Chi! Your Brothers up north from Kappa Eta at the U at Buffalo are wishing you all the best. We are really sorry to hear about all the tornado damage, but we're glad to hear everyone is okay. We hope you and your campus recover quickly, and we'll keep you in our thoughts! AEA, Kristen, KH-KKY

Thank you so much! Your kind words mean so much more than any of us could ever properly express. Times like this are a challenge, but it’s truly comforting to know that we have such a strong support system. Thanks again, Kristen. Thanks to all of our Brothers of Kappa Eta!

ariadnes--thread asked: Man I don't even remember following you guys! But I'm glad I did! AEA <3

Aw, thanks—it’s appreciated! Much love, brosephone!

On Sunday, a tornado hit the city of Hattiesburg and caused significant damage.
The buildings housing our music department were among the numerous structures damaged or destroyed in the storm.

While we’re relieved that no one was injured, we still can’t help but to be saddened by the aftermath. Regardless, we’ve still got a job to do, and we will do everything we can to help get the Southern Miss School of Music going again.

thatonegirlfromquidditch asked: WOO!! Get that chapter! AEA :)

YAAAAAAASSS!

artistontherun asked: What's up?! Im in Nu Alpha; Atlanta, Ga. I see you're a colony. That's awesome! I'm in the alpha class so my chapter was just where you are not so long ago :)

Hello, there! Congrats on finally finishing the process! We’re coming closer and closer—we can almost taste it. LOL
